Mupparuppu Vadai

 

Ingredients :

Bengal gram – 1/4 cup

Toor dhal -1/2 cup

Uradh dhal – 1 cup

Green Chilli – 1

Red chilli – 1 (2 for a a spicy vada)

Big Onion – 2

Curry leaves – little

Coriander leaves – little

Asafoetida – 1/4tsp

Jeera – 1/2 tsp

Ginger garlic paste – 1/4 tsp

Salt – as required

Oil for frying

 

Method:

 

1. Soak all the three dhals together for one hour.

2. Strain water. Grind it coarsely together with red chilli, green chilli and salt.

3. To the ground mixture add asafoetida, finely chopped onion, curry leaves, coriander leaves, mashed jeera and ginger-garlic paste. Mix well.

4. Make round patties and fry in oil.
